RECOMMENDATION
MOBILE BUILDINGS
A PILLAR OF AN ALTERNATIVE ECONOMY
Thursday, 21st May 2026
Me who write this physically have made a recommendation on creating of alternative economies. This is a very important concept and allows people, communities, offices, families and other groups to be versatile when the need arises. To establish a viable and ongoing alternative economy it is important to establish pillars of 'Craconomies' because this will help in designing alternative economies.
The pillar which will be the focus of this recommendation is the pillar of mobile buildings.
In a natural disaster, conflict or other situation me who write this have discovered that one of the greatest challenges are buildings. People have homes and companies have offices and commercial locations. Where prevailing conditions are not favourable buildings are a real snag in creating diverse uses of different parts of the economy to create a functioning alternative economy. For a solution to be ideal for an alternative economy it needs to also have considerable economic feasibility in the regular economy. Because if it is not viable in the regular economy but viable in a disaster or conflict economy then it does not properly fit as an effective alternative economy solution. The same for vice-versa. If some solution works perfectly in the regular economy but fails to be viable in the alternative economy it also does not fit as an effective solution for an alternative economy.
Therefore for a solution to fit an alternative economy ideally it needs to be viable in the regular economy. This is a central truth of creating an alternative economy. The reason for this is that this enables seamless migration from a regular economy solution to an alternative economy solution as many times as required. What this means is that the economy of the location where this is operating would be functioning in a healthy manner irrespective of prevailing conditions.
The focus of this recommendation is MOBILE BUILDINGS.
Technology has advanced to such an extent that entire homes can be built on vehicles. But the technology now has advanced to such a point that apartment buildings, cinemas, hotels, shopping malls, recreation centres, classrooms, libraries, swimming pools, some level of manufacturing floors can be made completely mobile.
What this means is that if people are not able to go to work for whatever reason in order to keep the productivity of companies and industry it is important to find ways by which the people can be located near or within the companies' premises for that period or the companies have to be located near the residences of the majority of its personnel. Because of the fixed nature of buildings, this is not naturally feasible. Even leveraging fixed hotels may not solve the challenge adequately.
However mobile buildings help to solve this problem. There are mobile buildings that are as high as 8 stories high which means an entire apartment block well spaced could be hired and workers and their families move from their homes into the mobile buildings. These could be parked at the company premises or near the company which is safe and serene which enables staff to work effectively while not contravening any legal laws. This means families are not disrupted and work can continue seamlessly.
Alternatively a company may be able to position its mobile 8 story office building in an area that a large percentage of its workforce can access by trekking in no more than 15 to 20 minutes. What this means is that most workers can walk to work and back each day and also enjoy a pleasant working environment. This arrangement can be as long as necessary till the prevailing conditions enable work as usual.
Another option is where a company's offices and staff accommodation can be relocated to an entirely different location such as a different city or town or village to enable continuation of work. This would be very appropriate if the area of the offices have experienced natural disasters and cannot be accessed for months or more.
In some situations the company could move to a water location such as a river or sea for instance. The company could hire customised barges which would enable working from the sea or a river. Barges can be customized to have some level of apartments built on them which means that company employees can work on a sea if that is preferred and or necessary by the company.
People may want to go to shopping malls but they may have been damaged or restrictions may prevent going to such.
If the shopping mall company has a mobile shopping mall building or buildings these could be parked in large residential communities and locations. The residents who may be thousands or hundreds would be able to walk within an area or community and get all their favorite legal stuff they would normally get in a shopping mall. They could go through floors of shops and go to buildings showing latest box office smash hits. The residents could end their outing with nice meals at their favorite restaurants and or fast food centers and have exactly the same experience as going to a fixed building shopping mall only that they are able to do that while observing the legal laws. This is phenomenal. A number of mobile buildings could be configured to appear as a complete shopping mall.
Mobile buildings would allow for mobile hospitals and health care to a large number of people. A hostpital could relocate some of its staff and equipment to a disaster area and give immediate treatment, surgery and even admission to people who may need it. This is especially important if victims are being recovered from a disaster location continuously for some days or weeks. This would be at a safe location from the disaster.
In a situation of a conflict location there may be a need to relocate a large number off people or families. This means that people could be relocated in mobile apartment buildings or may have their own mobile homes. A very basic form of this is a motorcycle that has a cabin at the back. Two cabins connected to each other with the central wall on both sides having sliding doors to ensure a single compartment should create increased space. This would be one of the most basic and simple mobile homes for the rest of the people or average resident who cannot afford to spend so much on a mobile home. There could be a configuration where two motorcycles are side by side but only one works at any given time to prevent challenges with synchronisation. However for a long journey of several hours the first motorcycle can be leveraged and then after some time the second motorcycle can be leveraged and then later back to the first motorcycle. A motorcycle is in many instances also easier to maintain than a vehicle. Maintenance is always important with transport vehicles but in adverse conditions the easier it is to maintain the better. This could mean the difference between successful escape from a conflict or natural disaster zone. It is also feasible to fit a considerable amount of the parts of each motorcycle in a single box inside the cabin which means two new motorcycles with one and another complete boxes of spare parts. This means that spare parts cannot be a challenge. It is strongly recommended that the motorcycle use petrol and solar and electrical power. This means if petrol is unavailable in a remote location, the solar power keeps the mobile home moving and functional. The roof will be largely filled solar panels and the cabin will contain very high retention solar batteries. The cabin will have basic furniture, a pull out bed, a toilet that fits into a corner of the cabin but can be detached and kept some distance from the mobile home so it can be used like a separate toilet. This can be fixed back on for onward travel or at night time. It will be feasible to cook, eat and live in a reasonable manner for as long as that is required. It is envisaged that this particular mobile home is a stop gap measure when trying to locate safe locations and or waiting till home locations become safe again. It's not seen as a permanent home though a person may choose to make it a permanent home and include all the features to make it pleasant. Foldable furniture can be brought outside the cabin for relaxation or study or outdoor cooking purposes which can be leveraged inside the cabin at the convenience of the legal owner and occupants of the mobile home. This would be affordable and residents can purchase and keep it till whenever it is necessary but use it for cheaper camping trips to ensure it is useful during the regular economy as well.
The mobile buildings are clearly very effective in the alternative economy. In my opinion to make mobile buildings more effective in the regular economy some strategies could be leveraged.
The first strategy is to increase the usage of mobile buildings in the regular economy. Companies, families, governments, individuals should be encouraged to purchase mobile buildings for projects that are best and or appropriately suited for mobile buildings. This is very important. For instance a restaurant is thinking of opening 3 branches in the same city within the next 12 months. To achieve this the restaurant perhaps will look for prime locations and properties which would provide the ambience, serenity, promixity to customers and transportation systems to launch the restaurants. Even in a regular and healthy economy the restaurant owner could be convinced to open some of the new outlets using mobile buildings as opposed to regular buildings. The restaurant owner could be shown the flexibility of the mobile buildings and how they could cater for special events where the restaurant may be booked by a single group or family or company. The restaurant which may be 3 or more stories of a mobile building could be driven to a large park or a seafront and the special event take place for the day to give a most resplendent and memorable event. This is what only a mobile building can do. In this manner the restaurant owner can make considerable revenues from the mobile building restaurant that the regular building may not be able to earn in a regular and healthy economy. This example shows that companies and individuals can be convinced to invest in mobile buildings instead off regular buildings for their new projects or to consolidate on old projects leveraging mobile buildings. Once the benefits are seen and appreciated the mobile building market would evolve consistently. This means the alternative economy is being built in a very verile and sustainable manner.
The second strategy is legal government intervention. In the event of a natural disaster, conflict or some other situation the legal goverment does everything to keep people and properties safe and secured. However government is a large purchaser of products and services across the entire government structures. The legal government can encourage the purchase of mobile buildings for some building purposes where mobile buildings prove to have more advantages than regular buildings. This can be a legal policy which will enable parastatals, legal government agencies and ministries to award contracts to mobile building companies and vendors which enables increased patronage. Over time this will deepen the mobile building market and encourage increased growth as well as most importantly make diverse people to see mobile buildings in effective use. For instance it is feasible that every legal government construction site, where a legal government project is being built will have mobile buildings as project offices as many stories as required perhaps less than 8 stories though it may be feasible to go above that if necessary. Another instance is to leverage mobile buildings to revolutionize the entire emergency and health sector response. There are numerous opportunities and possibilities.
The third startegy is to show how mobile buildings can be leveraged to interface with existing buildings. This is where the opportunities are completely beyond imagination. This is a very large market. Some home owners want to add some space to their homes, some companies want to add office spaces to their corporate offices. Therefore to achieve this, the companies may invest in costly projects that may not make the best use of their resources. However a mobile building company could integrate a new 8 story office block with 32 new state-of-the-art fully technology enabled offices in the company car park or in a vacant lot at the posterior of the company offices which would be designed for seamless integration. This should be faster than building new office space and should offer comparative pricing. The company does not have to purchase the mobile building but can operate a short or long term lease making the cash demands on the company for the new office space very light and even flexible.
A home owner may have a large front yard and want more space perhaps a home office. A mobile building is perfect for this and could be stationed in a convenient part of the front yard garden. If the home owner makes some nice designs or products to pitch to a company the homeowner can go for the interview in the mobile office building and make a presentation and offer those who want to see more broadly a look at the products as arranged in the mobile office. This would be like a museum with some or all of the people attending the presentation taking a look at the products as arranged over time in the mobile office building. This is just an instance.
The fourth strategy is to integrate into the existing transportation system especially long distance transport.
Mobile buildings are mobile therefore their use in the transport sector is germane. A sound instance is creating vacations which could be called 'Land Cruises'. A vacation on a cruiseship may take vacationers to a number of destinations in a luxurious ship. Mobile buildings can enable this on land. Vacationers can travel across a nation or even across a continent in a mobile building that stops at museums, parks, top tourist destinations, across several states or nations while living in a comfortable hotel accommodation. This provides flexibility that trains do not and space and amenities that few trains or busses can provide. Perhaps 100 people book a trip across 7 nations over a month period. The mobile buildings could be 8 stories high but each apartment or hotel room having an upper and lower floor. Each mobile building could take 16 apartments. If an apartment has an average of two occupants that means 32 occupants per mobile building on average.
This would require four mobile buildings for this expedition which would move in a convoy across the states and nations. A fifth mobile building could be included which has 8 floors with perhaps 3 different restaurants occupying a floor each, a swimming pool on two floors, a roof top bar, a floor for a clinic and perhaps a floor for an administrative office for tourists who need some administrative help. That floor could have an Internet Cafe and commercial communications availability. These would be available in the apartments however, some people may require facsimile, printing, typing or some other commercial service. This would also house a security office though each mobile building would have a legal security point.
This gives an unimaginable experience that most of the tourists will be happy to remember. Once in a location perhaps a city or a town some people may want to spend the day in some locations while others in other locations. This could be achieved with the mobile buildings to ensure that tourists experience what excites them the most. Some excursions within a location may be in the entire 5 mobile building convoy.
Other areas that mobile buildings could be integrated into an existing and a regular and healthy economy are as follows but are certainly not limited to the following.
Banking halls.
Airport lounges especially luxury lounges.
Airport hotels.
Seaside hotels.
Mobile police stations.
Mobile news and press offices.
The fifth strategy is the most ambitious and surreal but could transform the building of new cities and towns like never heard of in human history.
This is a situation where a legal government wants to build a new city, town or village. Mobile buildings could make this much more feasible in perhaps a shorter amount of time. Houses and apartments could be built, offices could be built, shopping malls could be built, postofficies and cinemas could be built, all using mobile building technology and capabilities. In the event of a natural disaster and or a conflict such mobile building dominated towns, villages and or cities could be evacuated to other locations that are safer. There are strong reasons why mobile building towns or cities could be feasible.
The thrust of this entire recommendation is to develop solutions for the alternative economy which are also viable in the regular and current economy.
Financing the Mobile Buildings sector
A special Eurobond could be floated to raise investments for the Mobile Buildings sector. It is my opinion that this bond could be funded through a refundable investment from no less than 240 million adults living in the European Union in the Continent of Europe. This would be a 10 year bond and require a minimum refundable investment of 1,000 Euro per year. Each year this bond would accrue no less than 240 Billion Euros of investment funds for the development of Mobile Buildings across the member nations of the European Council. In a period of 10 years at the same rate this would be a minimum total investment just from this initiative which would total no less than 2.4 Trillion Euros.
These funds could be provided as loans to companies operating in the sector to enable consistent investment in the sector and production of millions and perhaps tens of millions of Mobile Buildings within decades.
At this estimate each adult European (adults living in the European Union) would have invested no less than 10,000 Euros over a period of 10 years. If an adult European decides to purchase a mobile home within the first 10 years perhaps year 6 of implementation of this, then the adult European has the following benefits at a minimum.
i. The total investment made will serve as an advance payment for the mobile building desired by the adult European if cash is not desired. This means that the adult European will have a credit advance of 6,000 Euro which can be deposited to any company of choice that is manufacturing the mobile buildings in the European Union.
ii. For investing in this fund the adult European will receive a discount anywhere from 3% to 10% off the retail cost of the mobile building. This will be dependent on the cost of the vehicle and the company it is purchased from. This is valid only if purchases are made from companies which receive loans from the recommended Eurobond.
iii. Flexible completion of payment for Mobile Buildings. In this instance the adult European investor would be able to pay 4,000 Euros from the balance of the investment in the Eurobond over four more years and the remaining time for repayment if more than this, would be sorted out with the company manufacturing the Mobile Building and the annual amount that would be required to be paid. In this manner within 10 to 20 years a large number of adults living in Europe would have a mobile building or may have invested in one for those who want to purchase large Mobile Buildings together.
The European Council can legally offer its Mobile Building vehicles to other markets across the Universe.
This is just a recommendation.
This is recommended to the European Council and its legal member nations with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on the Continent of Europe.
This is recommended to The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, United States of America with capital in Washington D.C., North America.
