RECOMMENDATION

UBEM

Tuesday 17th March 2026 

A UBEM is a small device no longer than 3 to 4 inches and no wider than one to one and a half inches or a bit more.

It contains the USB cable with the side drawing power from the electricity source or power bank directly opposite the side that plugs into the phone. The cable is wound in a manner that enables each side to be pulled out and plugged into a power bank and phone charging point respectively. The UBEM can be fit onto the side of a phone where the phone fits into the UBEM like a stand. This enables vertical positioning. The UBEM is a bit wider than the width of an average phone, so it can fit in a comfortable manner. This means the UBEM can be carried with the phone as an attachable accessory, enabling charging from electricity and or from a power bank in the vertical, that is standing position or flat on the horizontal position.

The UBEM means that the recharging wire for a phone does not have to be carried separately but can also be attached to a phone and still available for charging or even data communications with an external computer. 

This can be a very useful accessory for people who get phone wires easily lost, damaged or who travel or are on the move often. The vertical stand form can be adjustable like a vice or a clamp so that it can fit securely with phones of different widths or thicknesses.
