LEGALLY SECURING PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, WEST ASIA
OPINION
Thursday 26th February 2026
It is my recommendation that disputes in the Middle East, West Asia be resolved peacefully and not with violence.
The current situation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, with its capital in Washington D.C., North America, may appear trivial but in actuality presents considerable danger for both sides.
The Islamic Republic of Iran
First, the overwhelming power and capacity of the legal military of the United States of America, with capital in Washington D.C., North America and its legal allies is gargantuan and undeniable. This means that the likelihood of military victory for Iran is not completely impossible but highly unlikely.
Second, is the vast economic and diplomatic prowess of the United States of America, with capital in Washington D.C., North America to impose economic sanctions and get some nations to comply with that against the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a conflict situation, this could make life unbearable for Iranians and make victory quite challenging if not almost not feasible.
Therefore, the Islamic Republic of Iran should opt for peace to prevent such a potential situation which could be catastrophic.
The United States of America with capital in Washington D.C., North America
First, is that any war with the Islamic Republic of Iran is unlikely to be limited to Iran because of the current dynamics in the Middle East, West Asia. In an expanded war within the Middle East, West Asia, there is a real possibility that straight out victory may not be achievable. While defeat is unlikely, ending the war without a clear winner is a real possibility in a larger conflagration. This would not be a defeat in the strict sense of the definition of the word, but may be perceived that way by those who feel the United States of America, with capital in Washington D.C., North America should not consider being at war with Iran. During, the Gulf War, even though Iraqi forces at the time were forced to retreat from Kuwait, the leadership in Iraq rejoiced because they were still able to hold on to the nation at the time.
'Saddam Hussein's forces withdrew from Kuwait on February 28, 1991, following a devastating 100-hour ground offensive by a U.S.-led coalition in Operation Desert Storm. The Iraqi military retreated after the UN-authorized coalition destroyed their forces in Kuwait, ending the seven-month occupation that began on August 2, 1990.
Key details regarding the retreat:
Withdrawal Strategy: As Iraqi troops retreated, they set fire to over 700 Kuwaiti oil wells.
Result: The coalition forces liberated Kuwait City, forcing Iraq to accept cease-fire conditions, including reparations, sanctions, and the destruction of chemical/biological weapons.
Context: The invasion was driven by Iraq's desire to control oil resources and eliminate war debts from the Iran-Iraq war.'
It is my opinion that even with the highest precision capability, the United States of America, with capital in Washington D.C., North America may not be able to completely ensure that a possible war with the Islamic Republic of Iran does not escalate into a wider war.
Second, is the potential for a crime against humanity. Recent protests in Iran suggest that there are some divisions amongst protesters, with some being armed by interests and entities outside the Islamic Republic of Iran. The casualty figures from the protests are quite alarming and, in my opinion, indicate some level of volatility that is not completely divided between the protesters on one side and the legal government on the other, but rather, even amongst the protesters there are divisions. If there is a conflict with Iran and it deteriorates into a Crime Against Humanity, it is arduous for a good number of people not to hold the opinion that the responsibility for such is partially with the United States of America with capital in Washington D.C., North America. This is a precarious situation because of the legal and other implications, but it could also lead to legitimate protests within and far from West Asia.
Therefore, even though the United States of America, with its capital in Washington D.C., North America, has considerable military prowess, it is my opinion that the nation opts for peace in resolving the disputes with the Islamic Republic of Iran with capital in Tehran, West Asia.
It needs to be made clear that any method that results in physical and or biological pain, impairment and or injury is not a peaceful method whether or not it can be physically traced or not.
Hopefully, none of these shall prevail through any means, manner or form.
Peace can still be legally established in the Middle East, West Asia while still resolving all challenges legally, humanely and constitutionally.
