SONUSILENTIUM COMMUNICATIONS

LEVERAGING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO ENHANCE SOUND COMMUNICATIONS WITHOUT SOUND

The purpose of this recommendation is to develop a technological system that enables sound communications without sound. One of the purposes of sound is to enhance visuals. Watching a film or a programme is much more entertaining if there is sound. The sound effects, music and others make the viewing much more entertaining. However, a good deal of visual information which seeks to communicate sound is usually put in text or writing at the bottom of the screen. This in no way enables the viewer to understand the sounds being made in the visual. What this means is that the viewer can only read the text and not appreciate things like intonation, voice fluctuation, background sounds and much more, which make viewing with sound much clearer to understand. To make this feasible, no less than the following would be leveraged.

1. Short Videos, perhaps from one to a few seconds long and perhaps longer. These would be shown on the same screen display but a small part or corner as the video or visual that is playing. For instance, if loud music is playing, a sound horn may be shown with sound signals moving out, depicting that sound is being played. If that sound is a symphony orchestra, it may show a person playing a violin or a cello, signifying the type of sound. Where Artificial Intelligence comes in is that, no matter the visual playing, every sound in that visual can be represented with a short video depicting exactly the type of sound being made. Even a rap tune can show a person rapping. To make this more phenomenal, the short video of the actual musician or musicians who wrote or performed the music can be showing while that music is in as background music. If a siren for an ambulance is sounding, it can be shown with a short video that can play over while that siren is actually sounding, for instance.

In this manner, the short video makes the viewer be able to interpret whenever a sound is playing in the background. If this is done with legal clinical precision, it should be very pleasant and communicate sounds made in the video or visual. The short video would be like an icon or even a real video that is showing in just a small part of the screen. The size could, however, be modified for effect. This has to be done in such a manner that the small video does not serve as a distraction to the visual but rather complements it and ensures that sounds made are communicated.

2. Colours have different meanings and when people see colours they bring different feelings and understanding. Therefore, this technological system will use colours when necessary to help show the type or nature of sound being made. Cool colours for cool sounds and brighter colours for more lively sounds, for instance. The short videos may have certain colours of the same video which can be used depending on the circumstances. For instance, the background of an orchestra may be a bright colour showing high-paced music, while it may be a dark gloomy colour showing slow-paced sentimental music. The colours could also be some colouring which shows in the visual, which may not be a video but a shape or object which communicates the type of sound being made. Artificial Intelligence once again makes it feasible to match every sound in the visual or video with a colour which may be in the form of an object or shape that can be used to depict the sound information more accurately.

3. Repertoire of symbols and objects. This technological system will have a very large repertoire of symbols and objects which, just like the short videos, can be placed on the visual or video at certain times, which help increase the understanding of the type of sounds being communicated. A bird chirping sound may show a bird in a corner in a specific colour, which may make it clear that such a sound is being made at that point in the video or visual.

4. Cartoons and moving pictures. These can be used to provide a graphic display of the type and nature of sound being made. This would also be in colours that help make it clear exactly what type of sound communciation is being made.

How does this work?

This can be developed into three basic products.

The first product is a mobile application that people can download the application and upload their visuals or videos onto the application, and then it processes the sound and gives an output of visual or video which is enhanced to some level. This could be a free service but with limited depth of functionality. Money can be made from advertising by using symbols, objects or short videos which may have to do with a commercial product or service. This helps to advertise those commercial products or services.

The second option is an online fully functional fee-paying service solution. In this solution, the person wanting a sound non-sound video or visual enhancement would log on to the specific platform, create a user account and upload the video or visual and make specifications of what is desired by typing answers to a few questions. Alternatively, the user may just provide the video and require the platform to create the sound that is non-sound communications. This would be given a fee which could be paid perhaps through online credit or debit card or some other means. The video is processed using the artifical intelligence capacity of the platform and is available for download.

The third option is for large customers, mostly large commercial customers. This is a company that does this practically with practical and physical facilities. Companies which make films, documentaries, teaching and learning videos, other forms of commercial videos and visuals may want this done for a version of their videos and visuals. What this means is that companies can have this done with the best professional service feasible and then offer the enhanced videos to customers commercially either by downloading from their online sites or by purchasing the physical videos.

This recommendation is very helpful for people who are deaf but can see and read. It is also helpful to any person that wants to be able to watch videos in silence but still get the full sound effect of the video or visual. This is tremendous for formal, semiformal and informal presentations. This really makes a presentation pleasant and much more professional, interactive and entertaining. There are many instances where people cannot use sound but want to watch a video or visual. While headphones allow sound without disturbing others, in some situations, people just want the video playing and may not want or have earphones at the time. This is flexible and can be attractive and appealing to a wide variety of customers and people.

This recommendation is to the nations listed who may choose to implement this individually and or with another recommended nation or nations as they please.

Me who write this physically may still make this recommendation to another or more nations.
